૩૧ મે નો દિવસ વિશ્ર્વ તમાકુ નિષેધ દિવસ તરીકે દુનયા ભરમાં ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. પાટણ જિલ્લામાં પણ આ સંદર્ભે જનજાગૃત્તિ માટે રેલીનું આયોજન જાગૃત ગ્રાહક મંડળ, પાટણ દ્રારા કરવામાં આવ્યુ હતું.
પ્રાપ્ત માિહતી અનુસાર, જનજાગૃતિ રેલી સવારના ૮.૦૦ કલાક થી વી એમ દવે હાઈસ્કુલ મુકામે થી નીકળી હતી . રેલીનું પ્રસ્થાન જાગૃત ગ્રાહક મંડળ, કાર્યાલય, ભગીની સમાજ, ખાતે સભ્ય શ્રી રોનક્ભાઈ મોદી દ્વ્રારા કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
આ રેલીનો ઉદ્દેશ તમાકુની ખરાબ અસરોથી લોકોને વાકેફ કરવા, તમાકુના વ્યસનના કારણે થતા શારીરિક, આર્થિક, સામાજીક નુકશાન થી લોકોને માહિતગાર કરી વ્યસનમુકત સ્વસ્થ સમાજના નિર્માણ કરવાનો હતો.
રેલીનો સંદેશો વધુમાં વધુ લોકો સુધી પહોચે તે માટે વિવિધ સ્વૈચ્છિક સંસ્થાઓ, ધાર્મિક સંસ્થાઓ અને મંડળો તથા તેમના સભ્યો ભાગ લે તે માટે સહયોગ લેવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
તમાકુથી થતા નુકશાન અંગેની જનજાગૃત્તિ રેલીમાં સૌ નગરજનો નવયુવા પેઢી સહિત જાહેર જનતાને ઉપસ્થિત
રહ્યા હતા.
